A large pile of tyres has caught fire in Salford, sending plumes of smoke into the air.
The tyres were next to a building on Adelphi Street, near the University of Salford, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said.
About 25 firefighters were called to the blaze shortly after 18:00 BST.
It is not known if anyone has been injured. An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.

Crews were called to the Radclyffe Park site, in Ordsall, Salford, by residents who had spotted flames coming from the building site at 1am.
The fire was prevented from spreading to neighbouring developments, which include a Morrisons supermarket and a Travelodge hotel.
No injuries were reported but 30 houses were temporarily evacuated as a safety precaution.
LPC Living and Russells Construction, who are responsible for the site, said a full investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway ...
